Chiedo scusa alle diverse persone che mi chiedono come mai il blog è fermo, in termini di aggiornamento. Bhè, il motivo, come già successo, è il tempo! Solo motivi di tempo che mi hanno impedito di aggiornare con regolarità questo “diaro di bordo”. E’ un periodo, questo, di particolare intensità lavorativa, al punto da faticare nel tovare un pò di tempo, e a volte di energie, per buttare giù qualche post. Ma non preoccupatevi, nei prossimi giorni tornerò ad aggiornare questa mia finestra sul mondo. Il viaggio in Irlanda e la visita all’Ham Radio di Friedrichshafen, saranno tra gli argomenti affronati. Intanto, seppur in ritardo, buona estate e buone ferie.

Il governo tedesco ha smentito le notizie circolate nelle ultime ore sulla stampa libanese in merito all’arresto nel Paese dei Cedri di un tedesco sospettato di spionaggio a favore di Israele. È quanto riferisce l’agenzia di stampa tedesca “Dpa”.
“Non c’è nessun procedimento” aperto contro Manfred Peter Mog, ha affermato un portavoce del ministero degli Esteri di Berlino, precisando che l’uomo è stato interrogato dalle autorità libanesi, ma non è stato arrestato. Ieri la stampa libanese riferiva dell’arresto di Mog, che lavora per un caseificio nei pressi di Baalbeck, da parte delle forze di sicurezza del Paese dei Cedri.
Secondo il quotidiano “An Nahar”, l’uomo è responsabile della manutenzione dei macchinari del caseificio. Sempre ieri ‘As Safir’ riportava che l’uomo era sotto interrogatorio e che, in particolare, gli inquirenti si stavano concentrando sul suo uso di apparecchi per le trasmissioni. Dallo scorso anno le forze di sicurezza libanesi hanno intensificato gli arresti tra le persone sospettate di essere spie al soldo di Israele, dedite alla collaborazione con il “nemico”.
Dal 2009 sono oltre 70 le persone che sono state arrestate in Libano per attività di spionaggio a favore dello Stato ebraico, con cui Beirut è tecnicamente in stato di guerra. Almeno tre persone sono già state condannate alla pena di morte.

Britain has been listening to pirate radio since the 1960s and today it is reported that there are more illegal broadcasters than ever. Former pirate DJ Trevor Nelson investigates the current scene.
According to official Ofcom figures, there are around 150 illegal radio stations in the UK today and 16% of London regularly tunes in. The pirates argue they are an integral part of the British music industry and provide a community service that legal stations can’t. But broadcasting regulator Ofcom says the FM dial is full. They claim the pirates are a problem, interfering with legal stations and the emergency service frequencies. More worryingly, Ofcom says there is evidence of links to serious crime such as money laundering, guns and drugs.
Trevor revisits the world of illegal broadcasting to find out the truth behind today’s pirate scene. Now a presenter on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and 1xtra, Trevor began his career in the 1980s on the then illegal Kiss FM. Trevor explores whether the scene has changed considerably since he was in the game or if the musical passion and spirit of pirates past are still present today.
Contributors include broadcasters, legal and illegal, a community radio station, fans, musicians, DJs and OFCOM, who were shadowed by the programme on a raid of a pirate station suspected of interfering with Radio 4.

“Napoli Radio”. Bearings from the German PTT showed the area of Naples. An official complaint was sent to the
Italian PTT. Several Italian amateurs and the ARI have been informed.

VIDEO.192TV is a new Dutch TV channel devoted to the memory of the offshore ‘pirate’ radio stations of the sixties and seventies. Cabler CAIW is the first to distribute the channel. With a mix of music videos and Radio Veronica jingles, the channel focuses on the period of the offshore stations Radio Veronica, RNI and Caroline.
Since April 21, 192 TV has been broadcasting a daily 30 minutes programme on the Dutch TV channel NostalgieNet.192 TV is a new initiative by the Foundation Norderney and BR Music. The Foundation is set up to keep the memory of the pirates alive, and especially of Radio Veronica. 192 refers to the Medium Wave spot Veronica used to broadcast on, 192 metres.
